testing of verion 1.4.1

Hi,

Are you people out there willing to test this version for me?

I of course tested it myself but as the changes are quiet fundamentally
I would like some testing by others as well before I release things.
This version should also work on freebsd. On freebsd I only tested ipv4
though.
